Ready to impact a better future? As an IMOS Logistics Supervisor, you will lead the delivery of tool control services in support of aircraft maintenance operations at RNAS Culdrose. You will be responsible for supervising personnel and ensuring the effective management, accountability, serviceability, and availability of tools and equipment required to support aircraft servicing, maintenance, modifications, and defect rectification activities.

Working closely with engineering supervisors, maintenance personnel, logistics teams, and customers, you will coordinate daily tool control operations, manage tool inventories, oversee audits and inspections, and ensure calibrated equipment remains available and fit for purpose.

What you’ll do as an IMOS Logistics Supervisor:

  • Lead and supervise the Unit Tool Control team, ensuring safe and effective daily operations.
  • Manage the issue, return, and accountability of all tools and equipment used in support of aircraft maintenance activities.
  • Ensure all tool control procedures are carried out in accordance with company, contractual, and aviation regulatory requirements.
  • Maintain accurate inventory records and tool tracking systems.
  • Conduct routine tool audits, stock checks, and toolbox inspections.
  • Oversee the management of calibrated tools and test equipment, ensuring certification remains valid and equipment is fit for use.
  • Liaise with engineering teams to ensure the timely provision of tools and equipment to support maintenance schedules and operational demands.
  • Prepare and maintain records, reports, and documentation associated with tool control activities.
  • Support internal and external audits, ensuring all findings are addressed and tool control standards remain compliant.
  • Act as the focal point for tool control matters, providing advice and guidance to engineers, supervisors, and management teams.

  • Understanding of tool control processes within an engineering, aviation, military, or logistics environment.
  • IT literacy, including Microsoft Office applications and inventory management systems.
  • Understanding of health and safety requirements, Control of Substances Hazardous to Health (COSHH), tool control, and quality practices.
  • Excellent leadership skills with the ability to deliver results under pressure while maintaining compliance and operational performance.

This role requires Baseline Personnel Security Standard (BPSS) clearance, which involves verifying your identity, employment history, nationality, and criminal record to meet government security standards.
