At Serco, we’re proud to deliver aviation support services at RNAS Culdrose through the IMOS (Integrated Merlin Operational Support) and AESAS (Aircraft Engineering and Airfield Support) contracts. From hands-on aircraft maintenance to off-aircraft support, our team plays a vital role in keeping Merlin helicopters mission-ready.

As an aircraft engineer on our team, you’ll play a key role in delivering high-quality engineering support across both AESAS and IMOS contracts. Minimum of 6 years working in an airworthiness environment, relevant experience for the Merlin aircraft, with a minimum of 2 years’ hands-on experience.

You’ll also need previous experience and a good working knowledge of:

  • Merlin aircraft engineering and aircraft systems
  • Merlin aircraft servicing and support equipment
  • Lean Operating Procedures
  • Naval Air Publications and Compound Interactive Electronic Technical Publications (CIETP)
  • Health and safety, including COSHH (Control of Substances Hazardous to Health) regulations, and tool control and quality practices
  • An understanding of Engineering and Asset Management Systems

Ideally, you will also have completed a Maintenance Human Factors course and hold a Certificate of Competency at Supervisory level - but if not, we’ll support to achieve both!
