Serco is growing its Business Intelligence capability and we’re looking for a Business Intelligence Developer to design and build the Power BI and SAP Analytics Cloud dashboards that help the business make better decisions.

This is a role for someone who’s just as comfortable talking to stakeholders about what they need as they are building the data model and dashboard that delivers it — if you can take a business problem from requirements through to a working BI solution, we’d like to hear from you.

As part of this you’ll:

  • Develop and maintain Power BI and SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC) dashboards, reports, and data models to support business decision-making
  • Engage with business stakeholders to gather, document, and refine reporting and analytics requirements
  • Design and deliver end-to-end BI solutions, from requirements through to deployment and support
  • Analyse and integrate data from SAP and other enterprise systems
  • Develop and optimise data transformation and data integration processes
  • Apply data modelling, reporting, and visualisation best practice
  • Use Python and SQL for data analysis, automation, and data quality activities where required
  • Produce technical documentation and support knowledge transfer to users and support teams
  • Collaborate with business and technical teams to continuously improve reporting and analytics capability

What you’ll need to do the role:

This role sits close to SAP, so we’re looking for someone who can move comfortably between the data and the business conversation. What matters most is that you bring:

  • A degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Data Analytics, or a related discipline
  • Proven experience developing BI solutions using Microsoft Power BI and SAP Analytics Cloud
  • A strong understanding of data modelling, reporting, and analytical techniques
  • Experience working with SAP data and a good understanding of SAP business processes
  • Experience gathering business requirements and translating them into technical solutions
  • Working knowledge of SQL and Python
  • Strong problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills

Desirable:

  • Experience with SAP BW, SAP Datasphere, Microsoft Fabric, or Azure Data Services

If you can build a dashboard that tells a clear story and you know your way around SAP data and business processes, we want to talk to you.

Why Serco:

  • Meaningful and vital work: In this position, your work is vital to the business, in terms of decisions and growth.
  • You will gain a world of opportunity working for a globally operating business delivering essential services across 5 vital sectors.
  • Personal growth, achievement and development won’t be hard to find.
  • You'll also work with great people in a highly motivated, supportive environment.

What we offer:

  • Flexible working considered
  • Pension – 6%
  • Chance to contribute to innovation in the public services
  • A company passionate about diversity and inclusion
  • Serco discounts which include cinema, merlin entertainment and online shopping discounts, and discounts on mobile phone plans and leisure centre memberships.
  • A range of benefits to support the health and wellbeing of you and your family such as Employee Assistance Programme, Simply Health Cash Plans, and more.
  • A wealth of career development training to suit your future aspirations.
  • A safe and supportive culture.
