Overview
At Serco, we deliver vital public services across the UK and beyond. We're looking for an Onboarding & Vetting Administrator to join our team, playing a key role in ensuring a smooth, compliant, and positive experience for every new starter.
Responsibilities
- Process security clearances including BPSS, UKSV, Home Office, and MOJ checks.
- Coordinate criminal record checks and support managers with legislation guidance.
- Verify right to work and support visa processes in line with UKVI requirements.
- Set up and monitor Occupational Health checks.
- Manage onboarding activities, including issuing employment offers and contracts.
- Check documentation and data accuracy to prevent delays.
- Liaise with internal stakeholders and external bodies such as UKSV, DBS, and Home Office teams.
- Verify identification and obtain employment references.
- Maintain and update vetting and HR systems.
- Respond to queries from employees, managers, and external partners.
- Ensure all processes meet compliance and GDPR standards.
- Support data accuracy through regular file audits and data cleansing.
Qualifications
- Strong administration experience with high attention to detail.
- Experience using multiple systems and managing data accurately.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint).
- Excellent communication skills across different channels.
- Ability to prioritise workload and meet deadlines.
Required Clearance
This role requires BPSS clearance. You can start once baseline clearance is obtained (includes a basic criminal record check).
