Responsibilities

On a day‑to‑day basis, you will visit individuals in their homes to install tagging equipment. You may work alone or alongside a Monitoring Support Officer.

With every individual you meet you will have the opportunity to build their confidence in you and the justice system, reassuring them of their safety and that of the public.

Every successful case directly helps reduce the pressure on the prison system and gives ex‑prisoners the chance to reintegrate into their community.

Each day and each individual are different, which keeps the role varied and filled with opportunities.

Qualifications & Requirements

  • BPSS & Standard DBS clearance (including identity verification, employment history checks, and a Standard DBS check covering spent and unspent convictions, cautions, reprimands and warnings).
  • Completion of an Occupational Health Questionnaire to ensure appropriate support for your wellbeing.
  • Current valid UK driver’s licence.
  • Reasonably fit for the role.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills, essential for building relationships and rapport with individuals.
  • Commitment to making a difference in the lives of others (prior experience is not required).

  • 2 weeks initial training and ongoing mentorship from experienced colleagues.

  • Base salary of £30,702 (including £3,500 London weighting) per annum.
