Overview
Swimming Teacher position at Serco Limited, for Oxford Leisure Community Trust. Location: Barton Leisure Centre, Oxford OX3 8GA. Job type: Permanent. Hours: Part time (8 hours per week) to cover Monday, Tuesday & Thursday 4pm – 6pm (open to candidates who are interested in only 1 of these shifts). Salary: £20.00 – £22.00 per hour + excellent benefits. Posting date: 17 September 2025. Closing date: 17 October 2025.
What you’ll do
- Deliver safe, fun and progressive swimming lessons following the Swim England learn to swim framework.
- Provide high-quality customer service and engage with swimmers of all ages and backgrounds.
- Work within safety, quality, and safeguarding standards; a DBS check is required.
- Utilise opportunities for personal and career development through ongoing training and CPD via the Aquatic Training Academy.
- Potential to progress into management or other roles within the business; eligible for training to progress within Serco facilities.
What you’ll need
- STA Award/Certificate in Teaching Swimming or Swim England (formerly ASA) Level 2.
- Holding a valid RLSS UK NPLQ, RLSS UK NRASTC or STA Safety Award for Teachers would be advantageous but training can be provided free of charge.
- DBS check required.
