As a Transport Compliance Manager in our MyFleet team, you'll play a vital role in keeping our fleet legal, safe and fully compliant. Your work will ensure our contracts operate smoothly, meet all operator licence obligations, and continue delivering essential services that communities rely on every day. In this role, your expertise helps protect people, supports frontline services, and ensures our vehicles are available, roadworthy and compliant. By maintaining high standards and strong controls, you'll create a positive impact on communities while helping our business meet its obligations with pride and confidence.
Responsibilities
- Act as a named and trained person on the contract Operator Licence, supporting continuous and effective control
- Ensure full compliance with UK road transport legislation, operator licence undertakings and contractual obligations
- Proactively manage fleet maintenance plans to keep vehicles serviced, inspected and available in line with manufacturer guidelines
- Oversee third-party service providers, ensuring service level agreements and legal requirements are consistently met
- Maintain accurate fleet, driver and asset records, including driver licensing, Driver Certificate of Professional Competence (DCPC), tachographs and training data
- Manage incidents, accidents, infringements and MOT outcomes, ensuring investigations, reporting and cost recovery are completed correctly
- Influence, challenge and work collaboratively with stakeholders at all levels
- Manage data, audits and compliance reporting accurately
Qualifications
- National Certificate of Professional Competence (CPC) in Large Goods Vehicles, or the ability to achieve this within 18 months
- Strong working knowledge of UK road transport legislation and operator licensing requirements
- Proven experience in fleet or transport compliance management
- Confidence to influence and challenge stakeholders at all levels
- Detail-focused approach, with the ability to manage data, audits and compliance reporting accurately
