As a Lifeguard you will be an important part of the centre, ensuring that pool users can enjoy their visit safely and have access to everything they need.
The leisure centre has a close-knit and supportive team and works toward providing an inclusive leisure hub for the community.

Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality customer service as you interact with pool users of all ages and backgrounds.
- Supervise pool activities and maintain high standards of cleanliness in the pool area.
- Ensure the safe handling and setup of pool equipment and act to save lives when needed.
- Stay safety-conscious, vigilant, and able to manage pressurised situations.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Strong swimming skills and the ability to perform lifesaving actions when required.
- Holding a National Pool Lifeguard Qualification (Royal Life Saving Society) or an equivalent qualification.
- Excellent customer service skills and a flexible, people-oriented approach to interacting with customers.
- Commitment to safety and maintaining a welcoming environment for all users.
About the Role & Career Progression
Serco/Serco Leisure Operating Limited is appointed as the Trust's Managing Agent and manages the recruitment process for the Trust.
The role offers opportunities for progression, including potential advancement to senior lifeguard positions and other centre management roles across the Trust’s 55 facilities, supported by Serco Learning.
