As a Health and Fitness Manager in our Leisure team, you'll lead a high‑performing fitness function that delivers outstanding member experiences while driving commercial success and community impact. You'll bring energy to the gym floor, inspire your team, and ensure our programmes truly make a difference. This is a role with purpose. You'll shape a positive, welcoming environment where people of all abilities can improve their health and wellbeing. By leading from the front and developing your team, you'll help create a space where members feel supported, motivated, and proud to be part of our community.

Responsibilities

  • Lead, coach, and develop a team of Health and Fitness professionals, including coaches, personal trainers, and group exercise instructors.
  • Drive the delivery of a high‑quality fitness service model, ensuring consistent standards and engaging member experiences.
  • Manage group exercise programming and budgets to deliver a commercially viable and inclusive offering.
  • Take ownership of personal training performance, including recruitment, revenue generation, and achieving income targets.
  • Oversee member onboarding, progress tracking, and retention through effective fitness programmes and engagement.
  • Maintain a safe, clean, and motivating gym environment that reflects brand standards.

Qualifications

  • A Level 2 Fitness Instructor qualification and Level 3 Personal Trainer qualification.
  • Proven experience leading or coaching teams within a fitness or leisure environment.
  • Strong commercial awareness, with experience driving revenue and achieving targets.
  • A passion for health, fitness, and delivering exceptional customer experiences.
  • The confidence to lead from the front, engaging members and inspiring your team.
