Position Overview

As a Ro Ro Driver in our team you will be responsible for the safe and efficient operation of the allocated 4‑axle hook loader (Ro Ro) vehicle in support of the Waste Transfer Station, Household Waste Recycling Centre (HWRC) and Civic Amenity Site (CA Site).

You will ensure the timely transportation of waste and recyclable materials, including food waste to approved treatment facilities and end destinations, whilst maintaining full compliance with company procedures, health and safety requirements, environmental legislation and contract obligations.

The role will also provide operational support across the wider waste management service as required, including occasional assistance with waste collection rounds and other site-based duties.

  • Operate the 4‑axle hook loader (Ro Ro) vehicle safely and efficiently.
  • Transport waste and recyclable materials to approved facilities and destinations.
  • Maintain compliance with company procedures, health and safety requirements, environmental legislation, and contract obligations.

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Valid Class1 or 2 driving licence and Driver CPC experience operating hook loader (Ro Ro) vehicles.
  • Knowledge of waste transfer station operations and waste legislation.
  • Physically fit and healthy; able to handle the demands of the role.
