Overview
As the Logistics Operative, you will be responsible for the effective and efficient delivery of the Serco contracted output within the Logistics areas. Maintain a positive \”Zero Harm\” culture with open honest reporting of Near Misses and safety related occurrences.
Hold a colour perception category of the required standard to enable the issue of an Airfield Driving Permit.
Responsibilities
- Ensure the delivery of effective, efficient, \”right first time every time\” output to our customers that follows the Serco values and behaviours.
- Frequent use of IT systems to manage emails and stock control
- Storekeeping and day to day management of stock
- Delivery of the logistics output in line with work instructions for the role and in line with the RAFs Material Account.
- Ensure compliance with the Serco Management System, ISO9000, ISO14001, ISO18001, HASAW Act 1974 and COSHH regulations.
- Notify the appropriate Leader whenever deficiencies emerge that require their attention in respect of safety, risk, compliance or standards.
- Shall perform other tasks which are reasonable and relevant to Serco at RAF Brize Norton as directed by the Serco Supply Leader.
Qualifications
- Knowledge and working understanding of the MoD MJDI system (desirable as training will be provided)
- Must be competent in the use of the Microsoft Office package and possess a high standard of oral communication skills.
- Standard driving licence is essential
