As a Grounds Maintenance Operative in our Birmingham Community Leisure Trust, you will play a vital role in maintaining exceptional grounds and sports surfaces at Alexander Stadium. Your work will directly impact the quality, safety, and performance of world‑class facilities, supporting events and the wellbeing of the community.
Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality grounds maintenance to the highest standards across the site
- Carry out tasks such as mowing, shrubbery, weed maintenance, litter picking and other general maintenance around the grounds
- Operate machinery including tractors and specialist equipment safely and effectively
- Ensure all work meets health and safety, environmental, and compliance standards
- Support match day and event operations as required
- Monitor grounds performance and identify opportunities for improvement
Qualifications
- A full UK driving licence (desirable)
- Experience in general groundwork maintenance
- Knowledge of health and safety practices in grounds maintenance
- A proactive approach, with pride in delivering high standards and continuous improvement
