Overview
Working as an Electronic Monitoring Field Officer for our Electronic Monitoring Service is a role that combines responsibility with the opportunity to positively impact communities. You will visit individuals in their homes to install tagging equipment and may work alone or with a Monitoring Support Officer. Each interaction helps build trust in you and the justice system, contributing to public safety and supporting the reintegration of ex-prisoners into the community.

What you need to do the job
Our current Electronic Monitoring Field Officers come from diverse backgrounds. What matters is your commitment to making a difference. You will learn during a two-week initial training course and through shadowing and mentorship from experienced colleagues. You must have a current valid UK driver’s license, be reasonably fit, and have strong written and verbal communication skills to build relationships and rapport with individuals you meet.

- Willingness to undergo two weeks of initial training plus on-the-job mentorship.

Work Schedule
We operate year-round with shifts covering day times, weekends, and bank holidays. The contractual working week is an average of 37.5 hours, with a rolling rota including weekends. Evening shifts typically run from 5pm to 1am. Flexibility is required as start and finish times may vary, with advance notice of a rota (approximately 10 weeks in advance) to enable meaningful time off.
