As Duty Manager, you'll play a vital role in creating a safe, welcoming and high-performing environment for customers, colleagues and community groups.
From overseeing daily operations and maintaining high standards of health and safety to supporting colleagues' development and driving continuous improvement, your work will have a direct impact on the experience of everyone who visits the centre.

Responsibilities
- Support the Centre Manager and wider leadership team with the day-to-day operation of the leisure centre
- Take responsibility for shift management, ensuring a safe, efficient and welcoming environment for customers and colleagues
- Lead and support lifeguarding, housekeeping and facility presentation standards throughout the centre
- Manage incidents, accidents and emergencies, carrying out investigations and follow‑up actions where required
- Support colleague training, induction and development to ensure high standards of service and compliance
- Help drive growth, innovation and continuous improvement through stock management, rota planning and operational excellence
Qualifications
- Have experience in a supervisory or management role within a leisure, hospitality or customer‑facing environment
- Demonstrate strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate, support and develop colleagues
- Have a commitment to health and safety, customer care and delivering high-quality services
- Be confident making decisions, managing priorities and responding effectively in emergency situations
- Hold a valid National Pool Lifeguard Qualification (NPLQ)
- Pool Plant Operator Qualification (PPO)
- First Aid at Work qualification (desirable)
