Role Overview
On a day‑to‑day basis you will visit individuals in their homes to install tagging equipment. You may work alone or with a Monitoring Support Officer. You will build confidence in the justice system, reassure individuals of their safety, and help reduce pressure on the prison system by supporting ex‑prisoners to re‑integrate into their communities.
Responsibilities
- Visit individuals at their homes to install and maintain tagging equipment.
- Work independently or alongside a Monitoring Support Officer.
- Provide reassurance and build rapport with individuals, supporting their re‑integration.
- Record and report all activities accurately for the electronic monitoring system.
- Adhere to all operational procedures and safety guidelines.
Qualifications & Requirements
- BPSS & Standard DBS clearance, including identity verification, employment history checks, and a Standard DBS check covering spent and unspent convictions, cautions, reprimands, and warnings.
- Current valid UK driver’s licence.
- Physical fitness to conduct house visits.
- Good written and verbal communication skills.
- Must live in or be very close to the CH1 to CH8 postcode area.
- Eligible for occupational health assessment; will complete an Occupational Health Questionnaire.

Working Hours & Schedule
Your contractual working week averages 37.5 hours. The role requires a rolling rota which includes weekends and bank holidays. Evening shifts range from 5 pm to 1 am. Flexibility is essential as you may need to start earlier or finish later on occasion.
