As a Restaurant Chef de Partie in our Citizens Services team, you will support the delivery of a high-quality dining experience at Lilleshall National Sports Centre, preparing food at scale while maintaining excellent standards and consistency. This is a hands-on role where your work has real impact – whether you are preparing meals for small groups or large events of up to 350 guests. You’ll play a key part in creating positive experiences for visitors, athletes, and communities, helping us deliver a service that people can trust and take pride in.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and cook meals as part of a team in a high-volume catering environment, serving up to 350 people.
  • Prepare and cook dishes in line with restaurant standards and specifications.
  • Ensure all food is produced to required quality, safety, and presentation standards.
  • Follow and uphold all hygiene procedures, including temperature checks, food storage, and record keeping.
  • Maintain a strong working knowledge of menus and seasonal ingredients.
  • Support kitchen operations, including delegating and completing cleaning schedules.
  • Work flexibly across shifts to support restaurant service, functions, and events.

Qualifications

  • Food safety knowledge or qualifications and some kitchen experience.
  • Experience working in table d’hôte or similar service environments.
  • Confidence ordering stock and using basic computer systems.
  • Understanding of seasonality and menu planning.
  • A team-focused approach with flexibility to support varied service demands.
