We are looking to recruit a Maintenance Technician to join our team. As a Maintenance Technician, you'll help keep six community leisure facilities safe, comfortable, and welcoming. Your work ensures our buildings and equipment run smoothly so our customers enjoy clean, reliable, and energy‑efficient spaces every day. You'll play a key role in creating environments that support wellbeing, active lifestyles, and positive experiences for the communities we serve.

Responsibilities:

  • Carry out planned, reactive, and preventative maintenance across building systems and equipment.
  • Manage and record maintenance activities in our Facilities Management System (FMS).
  • Oversee and support contractors on‑site, ensuring safety and quality standards are met.
  • Respond quickly to maintenance issues, prioritising effectively to minimise disruption.
  • Maintain systems and controls that support comfort, extend asset lifespan, and reduce energy use.
  • Support Technical and Facility Management colleagues with operational and technical queries.

Qualifications:

  • Recognised qualifications such as City and Guilds 2382 18th Edition, plus City and Guilds Electrical Installation and Maintenance Studies or equivalent.
  • Practical experience across electrical and mechanical maintenance.
  • Strong working knowledge of health, safety, and customer care procedures.
  • Confidence using computer‑aided systems for maintenance tasks.
  • A proactive, reliable approach.
  • Advantageous: L8 Awareness, plumbing qualification, other trade qualifications, and Swimming Pool Plant Operator certification (training provided).

Vetting and Checks:

An Enhanced DBS check is required for this role. This includes spent and unspent convictions, cautions, and any relevant information held by local police, in accordance with the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act and safeguarding requirements. You will also complete an Occupational Health Questionnaire to allow us to provide any support needed for you to succeed in the role.
