  • Hours: 37.5 Hours Per week, Monday to Friday

About the role

We're looking for a proactive and detail‑driven Void Maintenance Officer to manage and protect unoccupied Service Family Accommodation (SFA). In this mobile role, you’ll ensure empty properties remain secure, compliant and in excellent condition, ready for the next family who needs them. You’ll work independently with support from the Delivery Manager, carrying out regular inspections, managing reactive maintenance needs and providing essential reports that keep our operations running smoothly. This is a role for someone who thrives on autonomy, responsibility and making a meaningful impact.

What you’ll be doing

  • Manage all SFA properties within your VOID Maintenance area, including completing detailed site survey reports, maintaining photographic records, recording defects, producing rough scopes of work, and identifying opportunities to improve maintenance approaches.
  • Conduct risk assessments, implement security measures, maintain weatherproofing, and notify your supervisor of unauthorized access or vandalism.
  • Maintain heating and water systems to prevent deterioration and ensure statutory compliance during VOID periods.
  • Submit regular weekly and monthly reports to the line manager, passing utilities information to the utilities team.
  • Ensure every home is left in no worse condition and collaborate with VIVO, DIO, Pinnacle and supply chain partners.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Experience in a performance‑measured, service delivery role.
  • Self‑motivated, capable of working independently.
  • Proficient using Microsoft Office, tablets and digital devices.
  • Full UK driving licence.
  • Beneficial: VOID property repairs and maintenance experience, knowledge of MOD environments, asbestos regulations, disability access requirements, or energy performance standards.
