Location: Oswestry Leisure Centre, Oswestry SY11 4QBS

Salary: £8.00 - £12.71 plus excellent benefits

Schedule: Casual contract, flexible to work various shifts between 8am – 5.30pm including weekend shifts to meet the needs of the business.

As a Children’s Activity Assistant, you'll help create safe, enjoyable and engaging experiences for children and young people during school holidays. From supporting sports sessions to creative activities, your work has purpose and delivers a positive impact on communities by helping children stay active, build confidence and make lasting memories in a welcoming environment.

What you’ll do as a Children’s Activity Assistant:

  • Deliver fun, safe and engaging sports, arts and crafts activities in line with the holiday programme
  • Support the delivery of a high-quality holiday scheme by working closely with colleagues
  • Create a welcoming, inclusive environment where children can learn, develop and enjoy new experiences
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation in line with site procedures
  • Follow safeguarding practices and comply with all policies and procedures
  • Carry out other duties appropriate to the role as required

Vetting and checks: An Enhanced DBS check is required for this role. This includes spent and unspent convictions, cautions, and any relevant information held by local police, in accordance with the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act and safeguarding requirements. You will also complete an Occupational Health Questionnaire to allow us to provide any support needed for you to succeed in the role.
