Salary: £25,769 per annum pro rata plus excellent benefits

Schedule: Full time, 40 hours per week, 6am to 4pm

As a Housekeeper in our Yarls Wood Immigration Removal Centre team, you’ll help create a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for everyone on site. Through high-quality cleaning and housekeeping services, your work will support the wellbeing, safety, and daily experience of those who use our facilities.

By maintaining high standards across accommodation, offices, healthcare areas, and communal spaces, you’ll contribute to an environment where people can live and work safely. Our work touches lives, and your attention to detail will help make a positive impact on communities while supporting essential public services.

What you’ll do as a Housekeeper:

  • Clean and maintain designated areas including bedrooms, bathrooms, kitchens, offices, medical rooms, corridors, storerooms, and communal spaces.
  • Dust, sweep, vacuum, mop, and sanitise surfaces to maintain high standards of cleanliness and hygiene.
  • Clean hard surfaces including desks, tables, walls, doors, skirting boards, showers, and toilets.
  • Vacuum carpeted areas and carry out basic stain treatment where required.
  • Empty, clean, and maintain waste bins and disposal areas.
  • Follow health and safety procedures, use cleaning chemicals safely following training, and ensure all required records are accurate and up to date.
