Location: RAF Lakenheath, Suffolk.
Working hours: 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday.
About the Role
As a Painter you will maintain and improve military accommodation, including Single Living Accommodation (SLA) dormitories and Military Family Housing (MFH). The role may also include dormitory work as operational requirements dictate. You will transform vacated properties into high‑standard homes ready for new residents. Several weeks’ worth of properties will be allocated at a time, enabling you to work independently while maintaining productivity and quality.
The tasks include:
- Internal and external painting and decorating
- Preparing surfaces
- Repairing minor defects
- Removing old paint where required
- Applying high‑quality finishes that meet client and company standards
You must work efficiently to meet demanding turnaround times while never compromising quality. Inspections and snagging work will be attended. All work areas must be cleaned and left safe. Occasionally you may work from access equipment and must follow all relevant health and safety procedures.
As a client‑facing member of the team you should display professionalism, strong communication skills and a commitment to delivering excellent service.
