This is a fully office-based position at RAF Croughton, supporting the delivery of smaller-scale, fast-tracked works across the Defence estate. Acting as a junior member of the project team, you will provide essential coordination and administrative support to Project Managers, contributing to the efficient delivery of construction and maintenance activities. You will play a hands-on role in pricing, organisation, and contractor coordination, ensuring projects progress smoothly from initiation through to completion.

About the Role

You will prepare and submit cost estimates for fast-tracked works, using project information such as scopes, drawings, and site data to develop accurate pricing. Working alongside internal teams and external suppliers, you will gather and validate information required to support submissions while ensuring all outputs meet required standards and processes. In this role, you will act as a key support function to two Project Managers, assisting with the day-to-day running of projects. This includes maintaining organised records, managing documentation, and supporting general administrative requirements to keep delivery on track. You will liaise with contractors and suppliers, helping to coordinate activities and ensure timelines are met for fast-track works. There will also be an element of overseeing contractor activity at a basic level, ensuring alignment with project expectations and requirements. Your work will be focused within the Croughton team, collaborating directly with Project Managers based on site. You will contribute to the coordination of fast-paced projects, ensuring that information flows effectively between stakeholders. This includes supporting meetings, tracking actions, and assisting with updates related to project changes or requirements.

What you’ll need

You will be highly organised and comfortable working in a structured, office-based environment. With strong attention to detail and good communication skills, you will be confident supporting multiple stakeholders and managing competing priorities. This role would suit someone looking to build experience as a junior project professional, particularly within a construction or maintenance setting, though experience in these areas is not essential. You must be able to pass SC Clearance to be eligible for this role.

Why Join Us

This role offers an excellent opportunity to develop your career within project delivery, gaining practical experience in pricing, coordination, and contractor management. You will work closely with experienced Project Managers, building the foundations for future progression while contributing to the successful delivery of important works within the Defence estate.
