As the first point of contact for visitors, our Weighbridge Operatives play a vital role in ensuring a positive and professional experience. If you’re friendly, organised, and confident, this could be the perfect opportunity for you.
Shift Pattern: 4 on, 4 off days – 12 hour shifts
Key Responsibilities
- Daily Reporting: Prepare and share accurate reports with site management and commercial teams.
- Site Inductions: Welcome first-time drivers and guide them through safety protocols.
- Emergency Response: Act as the key contact during on-site emergencies, following escalation procedures.
- Data Entry: Maintain precise records in the Weightron system and ensure timely reporting.
- Traffic Management: Coordinate vehicle movements for safe and efficient operations.
- Compliance: Identify and report non-conformances promptly.
- Communication: Liaise with internal teams and visitors, using two-way radios when required.
- Weighbridge Monitoring: Check equipment is functioning correctly and within tolerance.
- Documentation Checks: Verify delivery paperwork for accuracy and compliance.
Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
Essential:
- Computer literacy (Excel and Word)
- Strong communication skills
Desirable:
- Experience in the waste industry
- First Aid qualification
- Knowledge of Environment Agency regulations
