From day one, you’ll receive full support and mentoring from your manager and colleagues. We offer a range of in-house training opportunities, including diploma courses, to help you develop and succeed. You’ll be guided until you’re confident and ready to work independently.

  • Manage 20–30 vehicles daily, ensuring cost-effective routing.
  • Maintain service levels and build strong relationships with drivers and other departments.
  • Contribute to a collaborative team focused on delivering excellence.

Working Pattern: Monday to Friday, 7am-5pm

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan and manage daily and next-day vehicle schedules.
  • Communicate effectively with drivers and internal teams.
  • Allocate work in line with the Working Time Directive.
  • Monitor routes using Mandata and adjust plans as needed.
  • Reduce empty mileage through smart route allocation.
  • Track performance and resolve issues promptly.
  • Respond to emails and updates throughout the day.
  • Attend team meetings and report key issues to the Planning Manager.

Skills, Knowledge and Expertise

  • Good IT Skills Word/Excel
  • Flexibility
  • Good communication skills verbal and written
  • Excellent organisational ability
  • Good knowledge of the working time directive and driver regulations
  • Good geographical knowledge
  • Ability to problem solve whilst working in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to build strong working relationships with both internal and external colleagues
  • A minimum of 12 months’ experience in Transport Planning is preferred.
