We’re seeking a proactive, organised leader to manage our Inbound Sales Team and ensure the smooth, profitable supply of unprocessed waste wood. You’ll oversee Area Managers and Inbound Consultants, maintain strong supply chains, manage budgets and KPIs, and work closely with transport and operations to maximise fleet efficiency.
You’ll support wider material sourcing, lead tender and bidding processes, build Local Authority relationships, and drive new business opportunities. We’re looking for someone adaptable, commercially focused, and forward‑thinking, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and spot risks early.
Key Responsibilities- Supplier Relationship Management
- Build strong, trusted relationships with unprocessed waste wood suppliers, underpinned by respect, integrity, and professionalism.
- Confidently manage and support all supplier partnerships to ensure long‑term, sustainable collaboration.
- Develop excellent working relationships with strategic partners at all levels.
- Support the creation and delivery of a clear strategy for identifying, assessing, and mitigating supply risks.
- Maintain deep market insight across suppliers, competitors, and industry trends to drive profitability and informed decision‑making.
- Sourcing & Commercial Delivery
- Secure the required materials at the right quality and commercial terms through effective contractual and ad‑hoc agreements.
- Develop and execute regional sourcing strategies aligned to business objectives and budget expectations.
- Identify and act on opportunities to enhance commercial margins.
- Apply strong commercial judgement in daily supplier interactions and contract delivery.
- Team Leadership & Development
- Lead, support, and develop the team to achieve all performance expectations, KPIs, and budget targets.
- Provide clear operational and strategic direction to maintain focus on priorities and high‑quality performance.
- Business Development
- Implement a clear strategy to drive internal and external financial value, grounded in an understanding of key business drivers.
- Leverage the CRM system to identify, track, and convert market opportunities.
- Proactively capitalise on all commercial opportunities to maximise returns.
- Reporting & Performance Insight
- Produce regular performance reports and updates for your line manager and the Senior Leadership Team, ensuring clarity and visibility of progress against key objectives.
