Overview My client is seeking an experienced and commercially focused Sales Manager to join their Industrial Applications division.
This is a field-based, standalone sales role, with responsibility for developing new business opportunities while managing a portfolio of existing key accounts across the UK and Ireland.
The successful candidate will have experience within the industrial chemicals sector and possess a strong understanding of industrial applications, particularly lubrication, greases and HI&I markets.

Key Responsibilities Generate and secure new business opportunities, with approximately 70% of the role focused on business development and 30% dedicated to managing existing key accounts.
Build long-term relationships with customers across a variety of industrial markets.
Identify new opportunities for specialist raw materials within industrial applications.
Manage your own sales territory independently while delivering against agreed KPIs.
Maintain an active pipeline of qualified opportunities to support future business growth.
Achieve customer engagement and sales activity targets.
Travel throughout the UK and Ireland as required, with occasional visits to the head office in Kent.
Candidate Requirements Essential Previous experience in a technical sales or business development role within industrial chemicals or related markets.
Knowledge or awareness of one or more of the following sectors:* Lubrication Greases HI&I (Household, Industrial & Institutional)An understanding of these markets is highly desirable.
Strong commercial awareness with the ability to identify and develop new business opportunities.
Self-motivated and capable of managing a nationwide territory independently.
Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
Full UK driving licence.
Desirable Experience selling specialist chemical raw materials or additives.
Existing relationships within the industrial applications market.
Experience working with distributors, manufacturers or formulators within the industrial chemicals sector.
