Description Qualifying Supervisor (QS)Location: Manchester Salary up to 55,000 (DOE) plus company van, fuel card, enhanced pension, healthcare and 26 days holiday excluding statutory days The Opportunity We are currently recruiting for an experienced Qualifying Supervisor (QS) to take responsibility for the technical standard, quality and compliance of electrical installation work within a growing business.
This is a key position for an electrically competent professional who can provide technical leadership, ensure work is completed to the required standards and oversee the inspection, testing, verification and certification of electrical works.
As the QS, you will play a fundamental role in ensuring the business consistently delivers safe, compliant and high-quality electrical installations.
Key Responsibilities Take responsibility for the day-to-day quality and compliance of electrical work.
Supervise electrical operatives and ensure they are competent and appropriately supervised.
Ensure electrical work is carried out in accordance with BS 7671, relevant Building Regulations and applicable legislation.
Review and verify electrical installation work to ensure it meets the required technical standards.
Ensure inspection, testing and verification results are accurately recorded.
Oversee the correct completion and issue of electrical certification and reports, including EICs, EICRs and Minor Works Certificates where applicable.
Maintain a strong understanding of current electrical standards, regulations and industry best practice.
Support NICEIC assessments and surveillance visits where required.
Assist with technical queries, problem solving and quality assurance across projects.
Support the business in maintaining its NICEIC registration and high standards of electrical workmanship.
About You Relevant electrical qualifications and demonstrable technical competence.
At least 2 years' supervisory or technical responsibility for electrical work, in line with NICEIC requirements.
Strong knowledge of BS 7671 and relevant electrical regulations and standards.
Experience with electrical inspection, testing, verification and certification.
A strong understanding of electrical installation practices.
The ability to provide clear technical guidance and challenge poor or non-compliant workmanship.
NICEIC QS experience or previous experience acting as a Qualified Supervisor would be highly advantageous.
