Overview
In this Façade Designer role, you take ownership of projects from design through production, focusing on aluminium façade systems for substantial UK projects. You’ll work with the Contracts Manager and Design Engineer to deliver buildable, compliant designs that respond to client needs and project changes. Expect opportunities to apply value engineering and drive efficiency across design and procurement. This role blends hands-on design with cross‑functional collaboration in a growing specialist contractor.

Responsibilities
- Produce construction and fabrication stage drawings
- Develop accurate 2D and 3D designs
- Interpret architectural drawings and project specs
- Create accurate Bills of Materials (BoM) and site/fixing lists
- Support design coordination and clash resolution
- Ensure safe, compliant, practical installability of designs
- Collaborate with procurement, production and site teams
- Identify value engineering opportunities and design improvements
- Take ownership of projects and meet design programmes
Key requirements
- 3+ years in a similar façade design role
- Excellent knowledge of AutoCAD 2D & 3D and Autodesk Inventor
- Ability to read and interpret architectural drawings
- Good understanding of construction detailing and buildability
- Understanding of BIM project delivery
- Revit experience would be advantageous
