Overview
In this role you will service and support specialist packaging machinery at customer sites, with a focus on electrical systems and strong mechanical understanding.
You will install, commission, service and diagnose issues on high-value capital equipment, often in FMCG environments.
You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver reliable machine performance and first-time fixes where possible, while working in customer-facing capacities.

Responsibilities
- Install and commission new machinery
- Planned servicing and maintenance
- Breakdown diagnosis and repair
- Electrical fault finding and diagnostics
- Reading and interpreting electrical drawings
- PLC and control system diagnostics
- Software updates and system modifications
- I/O card replacement and fault diagnosis
- HMI diagnostics (inputs/outputs)
- Mechanical fault finding and repairs
- Work with conveyors and material-handling equipment
- Support customers in FMCG, food, packaging and manufacturing environments
- Provide professional, proactive service at customer sites
- Aim for first-time fixes where possible
- Collaborate with wider engineering and technical teams
- Attend about one service visit per day to diagnose and resolve issues
- Work in wet/cold food-production environments to a comfortable standard
