We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Mobile Heavy Plant Fitter to join our team, covering the North of Scotland and the surrounding isles. Responsibilities

  • Perform maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs on a range of heavy plant machinery, including Volvo, Liebherr, and CAT equipment.
  • Travel across the North of Scotland and the isles to provide on-site support to clients.
  • Ensure all work is completed to the highest standards, adhering to health and safety regulations.
  • Maintain accurate records of work completed, parts used, and time spent on each job.
  • Provide excellent customer service, building and maintaining strong relationships with clients.
  • Collaborate with the wider team to ensure efficient scheduling and completion of tasks.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience as a heavy plant fitter or similar role, with expertise in working on Volvo, Liebherr, and CAT machinery.
  • Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills.
  • Relevant qualifications in mechanical engineering or a related field (e.g., NVQ Level 3 or equivalent).
  • Full UK driving license.
  • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
  • Willingness to travel extensively and stay overnight when required.

Day-to-Day

  • Travel to client sites across the North of Scotland and the islands to carry out maintenance and repairs.
  • Diagnose and resolve mechanical and electrical issues on heavy plant machinery.
  • Communicate effectively with clients to understand their needs and provide updates on progress.
  • Ensure the company van is stocked with necessary tools and parts for each job.
  • Complete all required paperwork and documentation promptly and accurately.
