Overview
In this pure design role you will create fire detection, alarm and suppression system designs for a wide range of projects. You’ll handle multiple projects with diverse contract values, interpreting client requirements to propose practical technical solutions. You’ll collaborate with internal teams and clients to ensure designs meet specifications and standards, contributing to a supportive, sociable design culture. Responsibilities
- Produce designs for fire detection, alarm, and suppression systems
- Interpret client requirements and propose suitable technical solutions
- Work on multiple projects simultaneously (10k–250k)
- Liaise with internal teams and clients to ensure designs meet specifications
- Ensure designs comply with relevant standards and regulations
- Collaborate with the wider design team and contribute to a positive working environment
- Handle inbound enquiries – no cold calling or selling required
Key requirements
- Proven experience in fire systems design
- Technical background in fire safety or related engineering discipline
- Engineers moving into a design role considered, salary reflecting design experience
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to propose practical solutions
