We're looking for an experienced Field Service Engineer to join an established engineering business with over 25 years' experience, supporting specialist CNC machinery within the railway industry. This is a hands-on role covering the installation, commissioning, servicing and breakdown support of specialist machinery.
The Role
- Installation, commissioning, servicing & breakdown support of CNC machinery.
- Mechanical work including bearings, ball screws and servos.
- Fault-find across electrical and mechanical systems.
- Work on servo drives, PLCs and servo motors.
- Carry out planned preventative maintenance and servicing.
What We're Looking For
- Experience as a CNC / Machine Tool / Field Service Engineer
- Strong electrical fault-finding skills with mechanical capability
- Siemens controls experience preferred.
- CNC/machine tool background preferred, but engineers from other industrial sectors will be considered.
- Comfortable working nationwide and staying away when required.
Package
- £48,500 basic salary with overtime paid at time-and-a-half when required.
- Company van, phone & iPad provided.
- Monday-Friday working - no regular weekend work.
- Fuel and hotel costs covered - Company credit card.
- 24 days holiday + bank holidays.
- Pension contribution.
