Overview
In this role you will design bespoke industrial refrigeration systems from concept to detailed design, applying load calculations and equipment selection to projects in food manufacturing and temperature-controlled settings. You will collaborate with clients, consultants and suppliers, supporting project delivery with technical expertise. Your work enables safe, efficient ammonia (NH3) and CO2 refrigeration solutions at scale. This hybrid Essex role offers a path to influence system design across cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities
- Design industrial refrigeration systems from concept through to detailed design
- Carry out refrigeration load / heat load calculations
- Select and specify refrigeration plant and equipment
- Undertake pipe sizing and develop refrigeration system layouts
- Work with ammonia (NH3), CO2 and industrial refrigeration systems
- Liaise with clients, consultants, equipment manufacturers and suppliers
- Work closely with sales, estimating and project teams
- Provide technical support and problem solving throughout project delivery
Key requirements
- Strong background within industrial refrigeration design
- Experience with ammonia (NH3) and/or CO2 refrigeration
- Competent with refrigeration calculations, equipment selection and system design
- Able to interpret and produce technical drawings and specifications
- Communication with clients and cross-functional teams
