Overview

In this role you install and maintain SMETS2 smart meters in domestic properties, handling warrants and in-day emergencies while upholding safety and quality standards. You will work within a field-based team to deliver reliable service and customer-focused support, contributing to the company’s growing smart metering capabilities. The position offers strong earning potential and opportunities to develop skills through ongoing training and dedicated support. You will primarily interact with customers, complete records on handheld devices, and follow health & safety procedures. This is a stable, full-time/self-employed role with clear progression in the smart metering sector.

Responsibilities

  • Install single-phase and three-phase SMETS2 meters in domestic properties
  • Carry out warrants and in-day emergency work
  • Perform ongoing maintenance, investigations and fault finding
  • Ensure work is done safely, accurately and to industry standards
  • Provide excellent customer service at every appointment
  • Record job details using handheld IT devices
  • Adhere to health & safety procedures

Key requirements

  • Minimum 2 years' Dual Fuel Smart Metering experience
  • CCN1/CMA1 and MET1, or equivalent qualifications
  • MOCOPA or recognised Smart Metering qualification
  • EUSR registration, including three-phase experience
  • Full UK driving licence with no more than 6 penalty points
  • Comfortable using handheld IT devices to record jobs
  • Ability to pass a DBS check
  • Professional approach to customer service, health & safety and quality
  • Willingness to continue developing in the smart metering industry
