b Overview /b p In this role you will design and deliver compliant LV/ELV electrical and security systems for UK transmission sites, from survey to handover. You’ll work within a specialist team to ensure technical excellence, safety, and regulatory compliance on critical national infrastructure projects. You’ll influence designs through reviews and change control while collaborating with cross-functional teams. This is a hands-on, cradle-to-grave role with opportunities to mentor others and shape large-scale electrical and security solutions. /p b Pay / Benefits /b ul li Company car or car allowance /li li Pension scheme /li li Company phone laptop /li li 25 days annual leave /li li Hybrid working model /li li Training development opportunities /li /ul b Responsibilities /b ul li Conduct site surveys on Electrical Transmission Gas Transmission sites across the UK /li li Produce detailed LV/ELV electrical and security designs aligned with standards /li li Develop concept and detailed design packages for internal and external review /li li Lead designs through 3rd party approval, construction, commissioning, and handover /li li Create technical documentation: block diagrams, single line diagrams, wiring schematics, schedules /li li Manage design change control and identify project risks with contingency plans /li li Participate in HAZID/HAZCON and Design Assurance Review meetings /li li Collaborate with Design, Construction, Project Management teams and P6 Planners /li li Mentor and develop team members /li li Ensure compliance with company management systems and processes /li /ul b Key requirements /b ul li Proven Design Engineer experience in power transmission, utilities, or critical infrastructure /li li Proficient in Amtech (or ElectricalOM) and AutoCAD /li li Experience designing LV and ELV AC systems, AC UPS, and DC systems /li li Experience designing security systems (Door Access, CCTV, Power Fence) /li li Ability to create 2D drawings and ideally 3D BIM/Revit models /li li Ability to produce detailed technical schedules (Cable, Load, Material, Equipment) /li li Excellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills /li li Full, valid UK driving licence with willingness to travel across the UK mainland /li li 18th Edition Wiring Regulations (2382) Level 4 Design and Verification (2396) (Desirable) /li li Minimum HNC in Electrical Engineering (Ideally BEng) (Desirable) /li li Chartered or Incorporated Engineer status (Desirable) /li li Experience with REVIT BIM, Hazardous Area Design (ATEX/IECEx), and DSEAR (Desirable) /li li National Grid Person - Substation and/or EUSR - SHEA Gas certifications (Desirable) /li /ul ul li communication /li li analytical thinking /li li problem-solving /li li Amtech /li li ElectricalOM /li li AutoCAD /li /ul
