With a strong reputation for precision, quality and innovation, they provide specialist equipment and support to customers across the UK.They are now looking for an experienced Commissioning Engineer with an electrical bias to join their field-based engineering team.This is a hands-on role involving the installation, commissioning and servicing of capital equipment at customer sites throughout the UK. You will work across both electrical and mechanical systems, ensuring equipment is installed, commissioned and operating correctly before providing ongoing service and technical support.The role will suit an engineer who enjoys working with complex machinery and is confident fault-finding across electrical and mechanical systems. There will be UK travel involved, with overnight stays. Rarely, projects requiring up to two weeks away from home.Key ResponsibilitiesInstall, commission and service capital equipment at customer sitesDiagnose and fault-find on complex machinery and production equipmentWork with motors, gearboxes, pumps, valves, servo drives and invertersCarry out panel wiring and electrical installationDiagnose faults on 3-phase / 415V machineryComplete testing, commissioning and final checks prior to handoverProvide technical support and servicing to customersMaintain high standards of Health & Safety and customer serviceTravel extensively throughout the UKAbout YouExperienced Commissioning Engineer, Field Service Engineer or similarStrong electrical bias with good mechanical engineering knowledgeConfident working with 3-phase / 415V machineryExperience with motors, drives, inverters, pumps, valves and mechanical power transmissionComfortable with electrical fault-finding, diagnostics and panel wiringAble to read and understand electrical and mechanical drawingsStrong practical, hands-on engineering skillsCustomer-focused with good communication skillsComfortable working independently at customer sitesWilling to travel throughout the UK and stay away when requiredFull UK driving licenceWhat's on Offer50,000 – 55,000 basic salaryOTE 65,000 – 70,000 through bonus and overtimeAnnual bonusCompany vehicleOvertime opportunitiesDoor-to-door payLaptop and mobile phone25 days holidayPensionOngoing training and developmentOpportunity to work with complex process and packaging equipmentWhy Join?This is an excellent opportunity to join a well-established and growing engineering business supplying specialist process and packaging solutions to the food and beverage sector.
