Overview
You will join a field-based engineering team to install, commission, and service capital equipment across the UK. With an electrical bias, you diagnose and resolve issues on complex machinery, supporting customers from installation to final handover. You’ll work with motors, drives, pumps, valves and electrical panels, delivering reliable operation and safety-focused service. This role offers travel, overnight stays, and the chance to shape commissioning to ensure high performance of specialist equipment.

Responsibilities
- Install, commission and service capital equipment at customer sites
- Diagnose and fault-find on complex machinery and production equipment
- Work with motors, gearboxes, pumps, valves, servo drives and inverters
- Carry out panel wiring and electrical installation
- Diagnose faults on 3-phase / 415V machinery
- Complete testing, commissioning and final checks prior to handover
- Provide technical support and servicing to customers
- Travel extensively throughout the UK
Key requirements
- Experienced Commissioning Engineer or Field Service Engineer
- Strong electrical bias with good mechanical knowledge
- Confident with 3-phase / 415V machinery
- Experience with motors, drives, inverters, pumps, valves and mechanical power transmission
- Comfortable with electrical fault-finding and panel wiring
- Able to read electrical and mechanical drawings
- Practical, hands-on engineering skills
- Customer-focused with good communication skills
- Willing to travel UK-wide and stay away as required
