Job Ref: DescriptionRefrigeration HVAC Project EngineerEssex - Hybrid + Site Travel50,000 - 65,000Company Car / Car Allowance + BenefitsAn established industrial refrigeration and HVAC specialist is looking to recruit an experienced Project Engineer to provide technical support and engineering expertise across industrial refrigeration projects throughout the UK.In this project engineer role you will take ownership of the technical aspects of live projects, acting as a key point of contact when engineering challenges arise and working closely with design, project, site and commissioning teams.The RoleTake technical ownership of industrial refrigeration projects throughout deliveryAct as a key technical point of contact for project and site teamsReview refrigeration designs, drawings and technical specificationsProvide technical guidance to engineers, contractors and subcontractorsReview equipment selections and ensure systems are installed in line with the designAttend project sites and technical meetings as requiredSupport testing, commissioning, snagging and final handoverEnsure projects meet the required technical, quality and safety standardsThe CandidateStrong technical background within industrial refrigeration and/or heavy commercial/industrial HVACExperience working on technically complex engineering projectsKnowledge of ammonia (NH3) and/or CO₂ refrigeration would be highly advantageousAble to interpret technical drawings and specificationsStrong fault-finding and technical problem-solving abilityConfident working with clients, engineers, contractors and suppliersExperience within food manufacturing, production, cold storage, distribution or process environments would be beneficialThis role would suit someone who enjoys being the technical problem solver on a project.
