£37,477 - With attractive overtime rates available UK (National) - Location is national there is a lot of travelling throughout mainland GB Monday - Friday, 8.00 am - 4.30 pm. This role will involve weekend work and possible out-of-hours work. You will be required to participate in an established 24-hour callout program based on a rota system.

The Role
As an Operations Engineer, you'll take responsibility for maintaining and repairing gas and diesel engine installations at client sites throughout the UK. Carrying out scheduled and reactive maintenance, you will undertake fault-finding both locally and remotely and play a key role in keeping systems running smoothly across a wide range of sites. You’ll also diagnose technical issues, implement first-time fixes where possible, and ensure all work is completed in line with the manufacturer’s instructions and service schedules. Additionally, you will:
- Oversee the servicing and maintenance of engines and ancillary equipment
- Plan resources and parts for repairs
- Co‑ordinate with parts and service teams to support successful after‑sales contracts
- Liaise with contractors, third parties, and colleagues
About You
To be considered as an Operations Engineer, you'll need:
- At a minimum, an ONC, NVQ Level II or City & Guilds Level 2 qualification in mechanical/electrical engineering, motor vehicle studies or equivalent
- To be a competent, time‑served technician, preferably with a minimum of 3 years' industrial mechanical/electrical experience
- Considerable skills and in-depth knowledge of gas/diesel engines
- Effective IT skills and competency in the use of Microsoft Office Packages
- A full, valid driving licence
