BMS Service Engineer
Location: Midlands Based (Field-Based) | Frequent Travel into London
Salary: 40,000 – 50,000 + Company Vehicle + Overtime + Pension + 25 Days Holiday + Benefits
We are working with a well-established Building Management Systems specialist who is looking to add an experienced BMS Service Engineer to their growing engineering team. This Midlands-based role involves frequent travel into London and will focus on service, maintenance, fault finding and small works across a range of commercial and industrial buildings. It offers excellent long-term development opportunities within a growing BMS integrator delivering smart building solutions.
The successful BMS Service Engineer will be responsible for maintaining and optimising BMS systems across multiple client sites, ensuring building performance, energy efficiency and system reliability.
The Role
As a BMS Service Engineer, you will work independently and alongside the wider engineering team to support and maintain existing client systems. Key responsibilities include:
- Service, maintenance and fault finding on BMS systems
- Diagnosing and resolving software, controls and field device issues
- Carrying out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) visits
- Small works modifications and system improvements
- Supporting commissioning engineers on upgrades and system expansions
- Providing technical support and advice to clients on site
- Producing service reports and documentation
- Occasional support during commissioning or project works where required
Projects typically cover high-rise residential, commercial offices, healthcare, education, industrial facilities and public sector buildings.
What We’re Looking For
We are looking for an engineer with strong BMS service and fault-finding experience who is comfortable working across multiple sites. Ideal experience:
- Experience servicing and maintaining BMS / Building Controls systems
- Knowledge of systems such as Tridium and/or Trend
- Strong fault finding across software, controllers and field devices
- Understanding of HVAC plant including AHUs, boilers, chillers and pumps
- Ability to read electrical schematics and panel drawings
- Strong client-facing communication skills
- Full UK driving licence
