Our client, a well-established heavy engineering company, is currently seeking an experienced Manual Turner / Setter Operator to join their machine shop team on the day shift. This is a permanent opportunity within a specialist heavy engineering environment, where the successful candidate will be responsible for setting and operating manual turning machines to manufacture medium to heavy engineering components. The role will involve working from customer-issued engineering drawings and specifications, producing high-quality components to tight tolerances. Due to the nature of the business, experience working with large fabrications, castings, and heavy engineering components would be highly advantageous.

Monday - Thursday: 08:00 - 16:30
Friday: 08:00 - 13:00

Overtime & Earnings
Minimum expectation of 11 hours overtime per week. Overtime paid at T+1/3. Sunday overtime paid at T+1/2.
Based on the standard working week, the basic salary is approximately: £32,700 - £38,500 per year (based on £17.00 - £20.00 per hour).
With regular overtime, expected earnings can increase to approximately: £45,000 - £54,000+ per year.
