My client is an industry leader within the Fluid Power sector, having been established over 40 years. They have cemented themselves as one of the largest distributors of fluid power products in the UK, supplying various industries. They are now looking to add a purchasing/procurement specialist to their engineering team. Working closely with various departments across the business, this is a fantastic opportunity for you to make a difference.
Your responsibilities will include but not be limited to:
- Manage the day-to-day procurement and supply chain processes.
- Enterprise Resource Planning.
- Create plans and procedures for risk management and mitigation.
- Oversee demand management and forecasting.
- Materials Requirements Planning.
- Liaise with suppliers to resolve quality problems.
- Negotiate with suppliers.
- Benchmark suppliers to identify opportunities for cost reduction.
- Tender management.
- Produce purchase orders through suppliers.
- Business KPI reports – Quality, Cost variances, Inventory.
- Monitor commodity costs and make recommendations.
