Role Overview
We are looking for an experienced LV/HV Cable Jointer to undertake jointing, terminating, testing, fault-finding, and installation activities on underground electrical distribution networks. The successful candidate will hold current Scottish Power (SPEN) authorisations and demonstrate experience working on LV and HV networks up to 33kV. The role includes both contestable and non-contestable works across the SP Energy Networks distribution area, ensuring all tasks are completed safely, efficiently, and in line with DNO procedures and industry standards. Candidates must hold the relevant competency assessments and authorisations required for the voltage levels and activities being carried out.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out LV and HV cable jointing and termination works on underground distribution networks.
- Install and terminate PILC and polymeric cables up to 33kV.
- Work in accordance with safety rules and Approved Written Procedures (AWPs).
- Complete testing, commissioning, and all associated documentation.
