Are you an experienced Business Development Manager with a background in the Managed Service Provider (MSP) sector? We're working with an established and growing technology business that is looking to add an ambitious BDM to its team. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who understands the MSP market, knows how to identify new business opportunities, and is motivated by a highly competitive commission structure.
The Role
As Business Development Manager, you'll be responsible for driving new business growth, developing relationships with prospective clients and identifying opportunities to deliver tailored IT solutions. You'll be involved across the full sales cycle, from prospecting and generating new leads through to closing deals and developing long-term client relationships.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify and generate new business opportunities within the SME market
- Develop and manage a strong sales pipeline
- Build relationships with key decision-makers and business owners
- Understand client requirements and position appropriate IT/MSP solutions
- Conduct meetings, presentations and sales demonstrations
- Manage the full sales process from initial contact through to close
- Develop existing relationships and identify opportunities for additional services
- Work closely with the technical and delivery teams to ensure a smooth handover
- Consistently achieve agreed sales and GP targets
About You
The ideal candidate will have:
- Proven B2B Business Development / New Business Sales experience
- Previous experience working within an MSP / Managed Services environment is highly desirable
- A strong understanding of IT services and solutions
- Experience selling into the SME market
- A proven track record of winning new business
- Excellent communication, negotiation and relationship-building skills
- A commercially driven and target-focused mindset
- The ability to manage your own pipeline and sales activity
- A full UK driving licence
