We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Welder/Plant Fitter to join our team. This hybrid role offers a dynamic mix of workshop-based fabrication and welding, alongside on-site repair work on plant machinery. Responsibilities
- Perform fabrication, welding, and repair work on a variety of plant machinery.
- Conduct routine maintenance and troubleshooting to ensure machinery operates efficiently.
- Work both in the workshop and on-site, with occasional nights away as required.
- Collaborate with the team to ensure timely completion of projects.
- Adhere to all health and safety regulations and company policies.
- Maintain accurate records of work completed and materials used.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in welding, fabrication, and plant machinery repair.
- Strong technical knowledge of machinery such as CAT, Volvo, Komatsu, and similar equipment.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Flexibility to travel and stay overnight when required.
- Valid driver's license.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Day-to-Day Work
- Work a standard 39-hour week, Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM.
- Perform a mix of workshop-based tasks and on-site repair work.
- Utilize company-provided tools, including a van, laptop, and phone, to complete tasks efficiently.
- Engage in overtime opportunities, paid at 1.5x and double time, to maximize earnings.
