32 days holiday including bank holidays.

Core hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00 am - 4:30 pm. Overtime opportunities at time and a half.

Overview: My client is a well-established vehicle dealership and service centre seeking experienced HGV Mechanics to join their workshop team. The role covers a broad range of work, from routine servicing and inspections through to advanced diagnostics, engine repairs, and MOT preparation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Carry out routine maintenance, servicing, and safety inspections on HGVs.
  • Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and electronic faults.
  • Undertake engine repairs, gearbox work, and driveline repairs.
  • Prepare vehicles for MOT and ensure compliance with DVSA standards.
  • Complete all job cards and workshop documentation accurately.
  • Work to manufacturer guidelines and workshop health & safety standards.
  • Support junior technicians where required.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience as an HGV / Commercial Vehicle Mechanic.
  • Relevant qualification (NVQ Level 2 or 3 or equivalent).
  • Strong diagnostic and fault-finding skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Full UK driving licence (HGV licence advantageous but not essential).
