We are seeking two skilled and dedicated Workshop Plant Fitters to join our team. This is an excellent opportunity to work on a wide range of plant machinery, including telehandlers, rollers, dumpers, excavators, and more. Responsibilities
- Perform maintenance, servicing, and repairs on a variety of plant machinery, including telehandlers, rollers, dumpers, and excavators.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical faults.
- Ensure all equipment is maintained to the highest standards to minimize downtime.
- Maintain accurate records of all work carried out, including parts used and time spent.
- Adhere to health and safety regulations and company policies at all times.
- Collaborate with the team to ensure efficient workflow and timely completion of tasks.
- Provide support and guidance to less experienced team members when required.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a plant fitter or in a similar role.
- Strong knowledge of plant machinery, including telehandlers, rollers, dumpers, and excavators.
- Proficiency in diagnosing and repairing mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical systems.
- Relevant qualifications in plant maintenance or engineering (NVQ, City & Guilds, or equivalent) are desirable.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality work.
- A proactive approach to problem-solving and a willingness to learn.
Day-to-Day
- Work a 39-hour week, with flexible shifts from 7:00 AM to 4:00 PM or 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM.
- Carry out routine maintenance and emergency repairs on a variety of plant equipment.
- Collaborate with colleagues to ensure smooth operations in the workshop.
- Take advantage of overtime opportunities, paid at 1.5x the standard rate, to boost your earnings.
