Due to continued growth and a strong project pipeline, my client is seeking an experienced BMS Project Engineer to join their team in the London area. The Role

As a BMS Project Engineer, you will be responsible for the successful delivery of BMS projects from design through to commissioning and handover. Working closely with clients, consultants, subcontractors, and internal engineering teams, you will ensure projects are delivered safely, efficiently, and to the highest standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and coordinate BMS projects throughout the full project lifecycle.
  • Liaise with clients, consultants, and stakeholders to define project requirements and deliverables.
  • Oversee project planning, scheduling, resource allocation, and budget control.
  • Coordinate and support installation, software engineering, commissioning, and handover activities.
  • Ensure projects are delivered in accordance with technical specifications, industry standards, and client expectations.
  • Manage subcontractors and site teams to achieve project milestones.
  • Attend client meetings, site surveys, and progress reviews.
  • Produce and review technical documentation, including commissioning records and project reports.
  • Support the commercial team with project variations and technical submissions.

Skills & Experience Required

Essential

  • Proven experience delivering Building Management System (BMS) projects.
  • Strong technical understanding of BMS design, software engineering, installation, and commissioning.
  • Hands-on experience with Trend and Tridium Niagara systems.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously.
  • Strong understanding of HVAC controls and building services systems.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Experience coordinating engineers, subcontractors, and site-based teams.
  • Ability to read and interpret control schematics, panel drawings, and technical specifications.
  • Full UK driving licence.

Desirable

  • Experience working within commercial offices, healthcare, data centres, education, or critical environments.
  • Knowledge of energy management and smart building technologies.
  • Relevant engineering qualifications in Electrical, Controls, Building Services, or a related discipline.
  • CSCS, SMSTS, or equivalent site qualifications.
