Job Title: Water Treatment Engineer

Location: North East
Salary: Starting from 28,000 per annum (DOE) + Benefits

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced and proactive Water Treatment Engineer to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest standards of water hygiene in line with industry regulations. Your main duties will be on the emphasis of dynamic flushing of heating and chilled water systems in accordance with BSRIA guidelines and disinfection of domestic hot and cold water systems at various new and existing commercial and industrial properties.

Key Responsibilities:

To undertake the reactive and planned maintenance of water treatment plant and equipment, to ensure compliance with the specification, PPM, Schedules and Procedures.

To flush, record flow rates, inhibit heating and chilled water systems.

Carry out water treatment analysis on heating and chilled water systems and provide solutions to limit corrosion, increase system efficiencies.

Dosing biocides, inhibitors and glycol products to closed loop systems.

Complete high quality documentation for clients, including sample interpretation.

Disinfection of complex hot and cold water services, including MDPE pipework to water authority standards.

Essential Skills & Experience:

Previous experience working within Water Treatment (minimum 3 years).

Knowledge and an understanding of BSRIA.

City & Guilds in Disinfections of Hot & Cold Water Systems.

Unvented Hot Water Systems Certificate.

Ideally based around Northumberland/Tyne & Wear/County Durham.

Full UK driving licence.
