Role: Telecommunications Engineer (VoIP)

Basic Salary: £30,000-£35,000 depending on experience

Company car or Car allowance (£6,000 per annum)

22 days holiday plus bank holiday

Overtime available and on call rate

Working hours 9am-5pm

My client are seeking a skilled and motivated VoIP Installation Engineer to join their growing team. In this field-based role, you will be responsible for the installation, configuration, and support of VoIP telephony systems across a wide geographic area, covering the South of England up to Birmingham.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform on-site installation and setup of VoIP hardware and software solutions for business clients.
  • Configure network settings to ensure optimal performance and seamless integration with existing infrastructure.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues during and after installation.
  • Conduct system testing and provide end-user training where necessary.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of installations, configurations, and support cases.
  • Liaise with internal teams and clients to ensure projects are delivered on time and to specification.
  • Provide ongoing support and maintenance as required.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience with VoIP technologies (e.g., SIP, PBX systems, IP phones).
  • Solid understanding of networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, routers, firewalls, VLANs).
  • Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent customer service and communication abilities.
  • Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel extensively across the territory.

Desirable:

  • Experience with Wildix is a desirable but not essential as training is given.
  • Relevant industry certifications (e.g., CompTIA Network+, CCNA, etc.).
