My client are seeking a skilled and motivated VoIP Installation Engineer to join their growing team. In this field-based role, you will be responsible for the installation, configuration, and support of VoIP telephony systems across a wide geographic area, covering the South of England up to Birmingham.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform on-site installation and setup of VoIP hardware and software solutions for business clients.
- Configure network settings to ensure optimal performance and seamless integration with existing infrastructure.
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues during and after installation.
- Conduct system testing and provide end-user training where necessary.
- Maintain accurate documentation of installations, configurations, and support cases.
- Liaise with internal teams and clients to ensure projects are delivered on time and to specification.
- Provide ongoing support and maintenance as required.
Requirements:
- Proven experience with VoIP technologies (e.g., SIP, PBX systems, IP phones).
- Solid understanding of networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, routers, firewalls, VLANs).
- Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent customer service and communication abilities.
- Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel extensively across the territory.
Desirable:
- Experience with Wildix is a desirable but not essential as training is given.
- Relevant industry certifications (e.g., CompTIA Network+, CCNA, etc.).
